The Making of Knockie Bears

Knockie Bears are made with only the finest materials. The fabrics and yarns are sourced mainly in Scotland and are traditional such as tartans and tweeds. Tweed is also made in other parts of the UK and may occasionally be sourced from there. Other materials may be made elsewhere, such as the eyes, but I will use a UK based supplier where possible.

As I personally make each Bear I am able to check the standard of work as I go along. If any part does not meet my high standards then it will be discarded and another part will be made. As far as I can, I ensure that my bears comply with the DTI toy (safety) guidelines, in order that they can wear the CE label.

Most of my bears are for the adult collector and not recommended for play with children. I will specify when a bear has been made with the safety of children under 36 months in mind as I am mindful that children love bears too.
